Krazy, Not So Fun Thanksgiving!

So, for the first time ever I decided to spend Thanksgiving with Cole, my boyfriend, because I had not seen him in awhile and everyone said that my GiGi (great grandmother) was doing better, after she had been hospitalized with pneumonia. At about 2:30 Thanksgiving day I was told by Brookie Poo that she was doing better and very alert and asked where I was. Then at about 4:00 I got a message that said they were headed to the hospital that she was dying, then not 5 minutes later I got a message that she had died surrounded by her entire family. She died 8 years ago to the day of my PawPaw (her husband).
GiGi's Krazy Kelly Twins with her!!!

I immediately was so disappointed in myself for not being there, and having the opportunity to say goodbye, but after some time had passed I realized that I got to be with her for almost 25 GREAT years and many people do not even meet their great grandmother, but let me tell you my GiGi was a special lady. She was the hostess with the mostess, and the most classy well put together GiGi I have ever seen. No she did not wear those ugly old people orthodics or dorky glasses. She was dressed to the nines even to go for her 3 mile walk or to help Pawpaw doctor a dog. So, now I hope that I can take a little bit of her strength, and character, and style and live by example just as she did.

I want to share with you the story that I told at her funeral. When Brook and I ("The Twins") as she called us, were about 3 years old and visiting my GiGi and PawPaw with our younger one year old cousin, Shannon, we wanted to go swimming. I went up to GiGi and asked "can we go swimming, GiGi?" She said, "Well sure I'll get you a pool." So GiGi went out to the barn and came back with a metal wash tub and filled it up with the garden hose, and the three of us stripped down to panties and diapers and went swimming. We had so much fun and there was a picture taken of the three of us in that wash tub, and my GiGi painted it later. That painting now hangs in our houses! She always made everything FUN, and always had that beautiful smile, but now she is in Heaven with her three Richards and having a good ole' time! She wants us to celebrate not mourn, and she deserved a celebration just as we did this weekend as we all came together as family to plan. Her phrase is, "Birds of a feather flock together." We are a fantastic family, because of her!!!!!!

Classy, just like her!!! We will miss you, but we will see each other again one day! It's not goodbye, it is see you later!

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
    Proverbs 25-31
THANK YOU GiGi for the memories, WE LOVE YOU!!!!

It's A BOY!!!!

Okay this girly family is getting a boy!!! On Monday Brook called me to tell me that they were thinking about having a sonogram done that day to find out the sex of the baby, because Clark's Grandad was going downhill very fast...if you do not know he has pancreatic cancer. So they made the appointment and found out that their will be a boy joining our Krazy family. Clark and Brook made the phone call to Grandad right away and were put on speaker to announce Landon Thomas Hanley! Grandad smiled and nodded that he heard and understood...as Clark's dad said, those are few and far between. That night Grandad passed away, but Landon Thomas will carry his name, "Thomas."

Then we decided that we would tell people with a quick happy hour on Tuesday evening. So I made cupcakes that when you bite into them they are blue so everyone would know they are having a boy!

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3

I am leaving you with this bible verse as Grandad dies there is a new life coming...there is a time for everything.

Birthday and Family!!!!

Hello again from the Krazies down in Austin! We had quite an eventful weekend that started off with a bang on Friday. Well, I went to the doctor Friday morning when I supposed to be babysitting, because I had a headache for over four days that was NOT going away! The doctor made me go in ASAP. I get there and they tell me that they think it is a migraine and we should try a steroid, which is a shot of air in my stomach that hurts like H-E double hockey sticks!!!The shot did not work and my head immediately started constricting, my vision got blurrier, and I started slurring my speech, so I drove myself across the street to the ER. I get there and they immediately put Benadryl in my IV along with ibuprofen times 1000. They then decided to treat my headache with Reglan that I knew gave me a bad reaction in the past, but they assured me that with the Benadryl it would not do that. I then walked to the bathroom severely loopy to pee in a cup, and on my way back I knew I was having the same bad reaction...UGH!!! I started shaking all over like seizures but not seizures. At this point I am NOT happy, and I tell the nurse to do something and so I get another IV of Benadryl and it does not stop it either, and so finally they give me an Attivan to calm it down and I tell them it is better to please let me OUT...in the meantime I texted Brook to come get me, because I couldn't drive. Clark comes with her and they laugh and Brook is so sympathetic that she is videoing me shaking...THANKS BROOKIE POO!!! Clark drives my car home and Brook takes me home, OH and the daycare called and the baby has a fever so they have to get the baby, because Mamisita had started a new job this week...OMG!!! The sissys are a mess so thank you Brookie and Clarkie for rescuing us!

Air Shot...this is how it started and just got worse!!!

Then our weekend continued with a party for the smallest Krazy in this family....It was so much fun and family and friends came from everywhere! She got tons of toys, books, and monkeys! She is a very SPECIAL little girl! Thank you everyone for making her birthday great!

All the GIRLS!!

And finally I spent the last couple of days working on my little brother's (Rinn Rucker) mum for homecoming...oh to be in high school and having nothing to worry about!

And I wanted to leave you guys with a funny from my bestie Jessica

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

That's enough from our Krazy family for a couple days...Happy Blogging!!!

Sloane O'Shea Kelly

Well when I put a status on facebook I had no idea that it would turn into a blog. With everything going on in my life I hardly have time for this, but who wouldn't want to read about us Krazy Kelly folks here in Austin, Tx. Lets just say we are doing our part in keeping Austin weird.

God has blessed us in so many ways and I would not trade the Krazies for anybody else. The latest Krazy born to this family was nothing short of a surprise. A week after Brookie Poo and Clark tied the knot we were told that our mom was PREGNANT! Not only pregnant, but almost 5 months pregnant, HOLY COW! It took some time to get used to this idea that we were gaining a sister nearly 24 years apart from us...we will be 41 when she graduates high school...we are closer in age to our mom than this baby...I could go on and on, but who knew the love, joy, and gift this little baby girl would bring our family! From the day she made an entrance into this big world I knew she had a purpose. Well that was a year ago today, born October 5th in room 255 at 5:55 a.m. weighing 5lbs 13 oz and she is the 5th member of our family! I think 5 is her lucky number! Thank you Lord for this baby girl!

Look at that precious baby!

Can't get enough of her SMILE everyday...Happy Birthday!!!

"A small gift can bring joy to the whole family"

Well it gets Krazier down here!!! Brookie Poo and Clarkie Poo have announced that they are expecting a baby in April. That makes Sloaner and I aunts!!! (A one year old aunt...bahaha) Well they will be the best of friends! Now on the other hand my mom and dad are thrilled, but they have made it known that they will take no such "grandmother" "grandfather" type namesakes, so what have we decided... KK for mamasita and Papa D for daddio. We went to a dancing with the stars event to see our other mom, Tah-Tah (Tammie Rucker) dance and the new thing is:  mamasita is going to be..... one HHooootttttt granny!

And we all know that I like to do crafty things and of course plan any event or party. So on Saturday we are celebrating Sloane O'Shea's first birthday at the house with none other than a monkey theme! Those of you who have met Brook and I know that monkeys are a thing in our family, but that is another story for another day! So here is a little sneak peak at the party decorations...
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above...

Again, I am new to blogging, but keep checking back with me!!!
